History of money in america lesson
Instructions: Before beginning, write on board, “Money has changed, let’s find out how.” Read the following books to the class as whole group (spread it out during the day).
Formative Assessment: Everyone starts with a piece a paper labeled - Trade Underneath, each child is to write down a word or group of words they remember about the stories of money and what they used before. After one minute - they are to switch papers with someone. They will need to read what is one their paper already and add another item of what was used to trade before the money we used today. On each paper, there shouldn’t be duplicates of the same idea. Have students trade papers another 3 to 4 times depending on ideas generated. *Differentiate by letting them draw pictures.
